I’m not a fan of pole straps… at all. They suck to get on and off while riding lifts, they feel uncomfortable while skiing, and they could lead to injury in a serious fall or an avalanche.

That’s why LEKI’s Trigger System is so incredible.

LEKI has been using their unique trigger release for securing gloves to poles for years, and it’s still unmatched in ingenuity from any other manufacturer in the world.

There are two ways to use LEKI’s trigger release system. All LEKI gloves come with the Trigger loop sewn in, or you can simply slip the sleeve that comes with the poles over any gloves to enjoy the benefit of the Trigger system.

The sleeve (or gloves), have a loop that attaches to a pin within the top of the pole. This secures your hands to the poles without the need for undoing Velcro or loosening a conventional strap.

You can then just simply press the release on the pole with your thumb to disengage the loop, and you’re free in an instant. This is extremely useful when you’re riding a lot of lifts, or if you have to disengage from your poles in an emergency situation.

I did not use pole straps before I got my pair of LEKI poles. I took the risk of losing my poles in deep powder over the inconvenience of messing with pole straps.

Now, I have the best of both worlds. I can feel confident that I won’t lose my poles, and feel comfortable knowing that I can disconnect and reconnect to my poles in just a matter of seconds. LEKI poles with their game-changing trigger system is simply a no-brainer at this point.

Not convinced? Take a look at the product video below and still tell me your poles are better than these…
