Copper Mountain Started Snowmaking Yesterday!

Winter Trail Map | Copper Mountain Resort

Need a little boost to finish out the work week? Just check out this satisfying video from Copper Mountain, CO. I think it will be more than enough to get you through to the weekend.

The ski resort started firing their snow guns yesterday in anticipation for U.S. Ski Team race training on October 22nd. Those lucky guys and gals will have the mountain to themselves to train for the coming season and Winter Olympics in Beijing.

Copper Mountain’s projected opening day for the public isn’t until November 22nd, but seeing snow guns in action is getting me amped up. I feel like the Kool-Aid man ready to bust through a wall.

This year was a long and hot summer for most of the US. Time on cold, snowy slopes can’t come soon enough!
