What are the odds that these hikers in Guatemala would see a spectacular dust devil and a volcano erupting in the background? If they were playing ‘Natural Phenomena’ BINGO they’d be well on their way to victory.

I’ll acknowledge that this statement is very silly, but I can’t believe that volcanos actually exist. I’ve always lived east of the Mississippi, and it just blows my mind that people live in proximity of mountains that shoot fire, ash, and lava into their air on random occasions. Crazy.

The video’s description says that this took place two years ago on Acatenango Volcano near Antigua, Guatemala.

Acatenango is a stratovolcano that stands 13,045′ above sea level. The volcano has two peaks and lies in a mountain range with other volcanos.
