Hmmm… I knew Arapahoe Basin calls themselves ‘The Legend’, but I had no idea that legendary quarterback Andrew Luck is a regular!

Summit Daily reported late last month that former NFL quarterback Andrew Luck attended a football practice at Summit High School in Breckenridge, CO after he got the phone number of the high school’s assistant football coach through a mutual connection.

Luck threw passes, spoke to the team, and gave the starting quarterback some tips to improve his game.

What’s really cool about this story is a quote from Summit High School’s starting quarterback about Luck. I’ll explain what I mean after you read it. Summit’s quarterback Jack Schierholz said:

“And then I remembered hearing something about Andrew Luck skiing at A-Basin,” Schierholz said. “So I thought, ‘Maybe it’s him.’ That would make sense. But as soon as I walked in, it was surreal.”

Schierholz just dropped the bomb that Andrew Luck is a regular ripper at A-Basin during the winter. Pretty cool. The dude was an awesome quarterback, but I wonder how good he is on skis?

Mr. Luck, if you’re reading this- I’d like to extend an open invite for me and you to spend a day skiing at Arapahoe Basin this winter. I’m shooting my shot here, but I really think it would be a fun time.

Let’s meet at the beach, take a run up Pali, and have a meal at the 6th Alley at least. Would make for a great story, just saying!
