Ladies and gentlemen, skiers and riders, groms, Jerrys, hardos, ski bums, and park rats… It’s that special time of the year when ski resorts start to release their projected opening days for the coming season!
Vail Resorts released a flurry of opening dates yesterday for their resorts, as only a big corporate machine could do, but I’m happy to report that Park City’s projected opening has been set for Friday, November 19th.
That’s only a maximum of 84 days until people will be (hopefully) skiing in Utah. We can definitely expect resorts like Arapahoe Basin, Keystone, Loveland, and Wild Mountain to open before PC, but getting the season kicked off in the state with “The Greatest Snow on Earth” is always a big deal.
It’s unclear if any Utah resorts will open before November 19th, but Deer Valley has already announced that they’re planning to open on December 4th. Maybe Snowbird or another resort in the Cottonwoods will beat PC to the punch to be the first open in Utah?
Stay tuned here at Unofficial Networks for a full release of all projected opening days in Utah once they’re available. In the meantime, think snow.
