Tom and Jane Hales of Arizona filmed as the creek next to their home turned into a raging river flooded with rainwater that fell on burn scars from a recent forest fire in Gila County. The flash flood destroyed their garage, flooded the home, and sadly killed one of their dogs. Another one of their dogs is still missing.
Seeing this water raging at such high speeds looks apocalyptic. It’s unbelievable that both Tom and Jane survived the flooding.
A local news outlet followed up with Tom and Jane about the incident. They describe how the wall of water slammed into their home seemingly out of nowhere.
I can’t imagine the feeling of helplessness as your home is destroyed by flood waters. There’s literally nothing they could do other than hope and pray for the best…
