Crested Butte has retired their Peachtree Chairlift after 50 years of service and are auctioning 30 of the chairs to benefit the Valley Housing Fund.
Here’s the mission statement from the Valley Housing Fund: “The Valley Housing Fund cooperatively creates and supports affordable, energy efficient housing using renewable and locally available resources as much as possible. The Fund will contribute to more sustainable, resilient and healthy communities within the Gunnison Valley.”
Take home a piece of Crested Butte history and give back to the community at the same time. From Friday, August 6th to Saturday, August 7th, #EpicPromise is hosting an auction of chairs from the former Peachtree lift with all proceeds going to our local Valley Housing Fund. pic.twitter.com/7rYY7Zt0BK

The online auction takes place from August 6th at 12pm MDT to August 7th at 12pm MDT. Chairs must be picked up in Crested Butte the following weekend. You can click here to read more about the auction.
Seems like the perfect opportunity to bid big money on a chair knowing that the proceeds go to a great cause. Plus that rare center pole model would look pretty snazzy as a swing or bench at your home.
