Ever heard of this town called Whittier in Alaska with a very funky housing situation? Virtually the entire town lives under one roof in The Begich Towers. Located in a remote region 58 miles southeast of Anchorage, the building was built by the military during the Cold War as a no-frills barracks, and is now home to the 300 or so residents.  Here’s a slice of life from one of the most unique communities in America:
