Multiple news outlets are reporting that a 21-year-old skier was buried up to his neck by an avalanche that occurred at Sundance Mountain Resort on Saturday, January, 23rd, 2020.
The man’s ski came off and slid under a rope into a closed section of Sundance. He went to retrieve the ski, and was buried by an avalanche in the roped off area.

Ski patrol responded, and were able to dig the skier out. He was taken to a nearby hospital, but did not appear to sustain significant injuries, according to ABC4.
Sundance received 22″ over the weekend, according to OpenSnow.
