The South Cariboo Search & Rescue Team posted an incredible story about a teenager who did everything right once he realized he was lost on a snowmobiling trip.

The teen acted responsibly by staying put, parking his sled in an open area, and building a snow cave in a wooded area for warmth and protection.

It’s such a relief to hear a story of somebody surviving a backcountry incident for once. Props to this kid for his backcountry safety knowledge, and for the South Cariboo Search & Rescue team for their efforts!
