“Check out these +15-25 ft (Hawaiian) and +35 ft face. Caught this clean up set mowing through the line up of skis. The skis jetted for the horizon only to find themselves looking in to the face of a BOMB clean up set.  Watch for the 2 skis that almost make contact! As well as the last ski gunning it to the clouds!”

Chaotic scene caught by a drone flying of the North Shore of O‘AHU on January 16th where group of about two dozen jet skis were sent scrambling for safety as a massive set of waves rolled through. Hawaii News Now reports few caught 20-30ft of air racing to safety:

“Watching that jet ski fly over, watching us fly over and all the other skis. It’s just a miracle note, like, as far as I know, there’s no head on collisions, nobody landed on each other.”

Multiple injuries were reported including photographer Ryan Moss who suffered a compressed L3 vertebrae in his lower back and has apparently had hours of surgery. A GoFundMe Page set up to offset his medical bill has already raised $24,000 out of a goal of $50,000 funding goal.
