THE ‘BACK IS BACK, BABY!

Saddleback, Maine announced that they will open for the first time in 5 years on Tuesday, December 15th, 2020!

Saddleback Mountain Will Reopen After Five-Year Closure | POWDER Magazine

“Saddleback is just days away from an event that has been 5 years in the making! Not only are we opening a ski resort for the first time in years, like you, we are navigating the uncharted territory that is COVID. We know there will be challenges and hiccups and we don’t pretend to have all of the answers. We ask that we come together as a family with patience, understanding, kindness and the shared joy that our mountain – your mountain – is reopening. Please keep in mind, this is early season skiing. We are expecting a lot of people and we will have limited terrain. This first week will be more about celebrating our revival than epic skiing.”

The mountain has been shuttered since 2015 as the result of scandals, mismanagement, and a whole mess of reasons.

But Maine’s 3rd largest ski area is poised to reestablish itself as a staple in the New England ski scene.

Saddleback is also debuting a brand-new $7.2M high-speed quad to revitalize the skiing experience. Take a look:

We’re stoked here at Unofficial Networks that Saddleback is coming back to life. Looking forward to seeing some clips of The Casablanca Glades, and for the stoke to flow back through Rangeley.
