Beginning in 1943 an elite group of outdoorsmen started training in Colorado in alpine combat. The 10th Mountain Division went on to turn the tide in World War II and those very same skiing soldiers came back stateside and created the modern ski industry in America. NBC sent Kristen Dahlgren out to Vail to interview members of the legendary light infantry division and understand where they fit into the modern combat arena.
