In the winter of 1978 two groomers were working an overnight at a tiny ski resort a few miles outside Olean, NY. When they broke for lunch and went into the chalet they stumbled upon a robbery in progress.

Both men where shot 3 times and both had execution style shots to the back of their heads. The robbers made off with a heavy safe with $18,000 inside. About a month after the crime, police found the 175lb safe in the Allegheny River several miles from Ski Wing. The safe had been cracked and the money was gone.
