Have you heard of this incredible natural phenomenon on the coast of the Kimberley region in Western Australia locally known as The Horries. David Attenborough describes The Horizontal Falls as “one of the greatest wonders of the natural world.” They are formed from a break in between the McLarty Ranges, reaching up to 80 feet wide. The natural phenomenon is created as seawater builds up faster on one side of the gap than the other, creating a waterfall up to 15 feet high on a spring tide.
