“On Friday August 7th at 8:13pm a large earthquake dislodged Baron Spire (AKA Old Smoothie), causing a massive landslide in the Sawtooth Mountains. Video was taken at Baron Lake.”
A massive rockslide was kicked off by a 4.2 magnitude earthquake Saturday around 8:10 p.m. in Idaho. Multiple people were camping out underneath the debris path, but luckily no one was injured. The slide was filmed at multiple angles. What a thing to witness. Gnarly footage.
“The entire spire came down along with half the wall face. Happened at about 8:10 pm so it was very difficult to go to sleep afterwards, to say the least!”
