“It’s a mid-engined sports car with the ski-carrying practicality of an SUV.”

Really digging this new concept car by Alpine unveiled at the Festival Automobile International in Paris. Based on the entry-level A110 Pure, the A110 SportsX concept has been widened by 80mm thanks to chunky contrasting wheel arches and raised by 60mm for enhanced ground clearance. It also has a black hood and roof, not forgetting race-inspired tape details across the fog lamps. On the roof, a purpose-built ski rack ports two pairs of colour-coordinated skis (because why not).

Goodwood Road & Racing reports its a mid-engined sports car with the ski-carrying practicality of an SUV.  Alpine was famous for the success of its rally cars long before the company was purchased by Renault and this heritage was fully channelled into the SportsX concept.

Sadly, there are no formal plans to incorporate the SportsX into the lineup of Alpines available for purchase but Goodwood speculates if it did go into production it would be wildly popular.
