A frigid air mass that moved into the northeast this week sent temperatures plummeting on Mt. Washington. The Mt. Washington Observatory recorded a low temperature of -17F with a wind chill of -62F on November 13th. As you can see the wind really did them in with sustained winds howling close to 75mph.
Taking a look at the last 10 minutes of temperature data from our digital thermometer in our thermoshack, we have gotten down to -17°F! The winds are sustained at 74 mph so the wind chill is -62°F. pic.twitter.com/ALggt2B1lX
