Before the 1992 Albertville Winter Games the Norwegian alpine team hadn’t had a single podium finish in 40 years. At those Olympics in France Norwegian skiers took home 4 medals, earning the nickname “The Attacking Vikings” for their aggressive style and teamwork. Since then they have won 34 World Cup titles and 32 Olympic medals, becoming a dominant force in alpine skiing.
