14 people including a baby and four children were evacuated from a chairlift at Alfenzer Bürgeralm ski resort in Austria after tree fell on the haul rope due to strong wind. Kleinezeitung.at reports the 2 hour evacuation was co-ordinated the fire brigade and mountain rescue teams. No one was injured during the operation.

If anyone with experience could shed light on why they might use ladders and cherry pickers in this specific situation please chime in and let us know. Thanks.
