Although early season pow is tempting, there’s plenty of reasons to wait for more snowfall. One of those reasons became painfully clear this past Saturday when a Jackson local sustained a broken back while skiing off Teton Pass.
According to the JH News and Guide, that incident was just the second rescue the Wyoming mountain pass saw in less than 3 days. The first happened on Thursday when an elderly man (72) got tired while skiing Edelweiss Bowl. He ultimately called in a rescue at the bottom of the run and was safely transported back to the trailhead.
