Copper Mountain is blowing snow this morning and it’s starting to feel a lot like winter in Colorado.
The first REAL snowstorm of the season delivered approximately 6″ to the higher elevations of the San Juan’s including Telluride! Wolf Creek & Loveland were next in line with somewhere between 3-4″. The mountains of Summit County, Vail, and elsewhere got a good 1-2″ depending on elevation.
“We had some snow last night. I think this is our snowiest morning so far. The temperatures were not quite cold enough to make snow. We should see a little more snow today and we should have good snowmaking temperatures tonight. This ought to be a good week.” – Al’s Blog [Arapahoe Basin]
NOAA is forecasting snow all week for most of Colorado and things should really begin to feel like winter in the high country by Friday.
Around 10ยฐ colder today. A rain/snow mix is expected for plains w/ some areas seeing a dusting of snow. Higher elev w/ light accums. #COwx pic.twitter.com/RF04aQy8kB
