How about the four luxury cabins that have glass floors…so cool.  If you’re skiing at Zermatt this winter you will appreciate the completion of the new 3S cable car system (the worlds highest).  The new system cost $53 million to build and took 2 years to complete.

Swiss Info reports they call it the 3S for 3-seil, which means three ropes in German. The 3 ropes are the two supporting cables plus a looped traction cable. There are 25 gondolas that will have a 2,000 people per hour capacity, a vast improvement from previous capacity of 600 per hour. The ride to the top is nine minutes with a max height of 650ft.

Round trips in the regular cabins will cost about $100USD and if you want a glass bottom it will set you back about $115. Expensive round trip but a one of a kind experience.
