The chainsaws have been sheathed and the last of the dynamite blasted at Upstate New York’s Hunter Mountain ski hill, as measurable progress has been made in advance of the expansion’s 100-day mark. The $9 million, 43-acre new section of terrain appears on pace to open in time for the 2018-19 season.

Now that terrain has been cleared, crews have moved on to installing infrastructure elements and the all-important step of grading future runs. Hunter Mountain promises frequent updates as the project continues to progress, including the naming of new trails.
