The U.S. Forest Service seem to have giving up on a plan to allow a ski resort to be built at the base of Wolf Creek. The proposed ski resort would have been located northeast of Pagosa Springs at the top of Wolf Creek Pass.
CBS Denver reports developers have been trying to build at the site for the last 30 years and this iteration would have been a 10,000 person capacity ski resort but a federal judge ruled against the proposal and the Forest Service will not appeal it.
The Durango Herald did an excellent full length article on the about the failed the development you can read HERE.
