Amazon is not known for its work in snow-business. The online retailer however is getting into skiing by proxy and has since announced that they will be making a Swedish ski hill 10 vertical feet higher and 33 feet longer reports Business Sweden.

They will do so using excavated debris from a new Amazon facility built near Stockholm. The total 105,000 tons of rock will literally be dumped atop the Vilsta ski area and covered with dirt before the snow falls prior to the 18/19 winter season.

Besides hockey and curling, winter recreation is a bit tough in Sweden and skiing fits perfectly into winters that typically last from October to May each year. For that, these local Swedes can thank Amazon for a 3-story higher home hill.
