Little known fact, Olympic Gold Medalist Red Gerard started skateboarding the year before he first tried snowboarding and grew up watching Bam Margera and Ryan Sheckler’s skateboard inspired reality tv shows. Red hadn’t been on a skateboard in ages before filming this VICE Sports piece at the House of Vans in Brooklyn but he’s obviously a gifted athlete and makes anything on a board look effortless.
