Mark McMorris defended his gold medal at the Burton US Open in Vail over the weekend with this flawless slopestyle run which included a 1260/1440/1440 combo down the triple pack at the bottom.

While that is impressive under any circumstances, Mark pulled it off just one year out from a backcountry crash that left him with life threatening injuries including breaks to his jaw and left arm, a ruptured spleen, a stable pelvic fracture, rib fractures and a collapsed left lung.

“With everything I’ve been through, today makes it worthwhile 100 percent. This is my life and this is what makes me most happy.”

McMorris took the crown but Marcus Kleveland put everyone’s brain in a blender during practice with his incredible spin combos off rails.  Not sure if this will ever be reliable enough for a competition run, but it sure’s fun to watch:
