The decision, which follows many other athletes in the public spotlight, is a reflection of Vonn’s belief that “I want to represent our country well and I don’t think there are a lot of people currently in our government that do that.” When asked by CNN’s Christina MacFarlane whether she would visit the White House given the opportunity she replied, “absolutely not.”
