Philip Jeffries with Aspen Ski Company showed off their new tiny homes to 9news Colorado.

Ski towns across the west are facing a housing crisis as more second home owners are turning to Airbnb as opposed to finding longterm renters. In Aspen, Colorado Skico has a plan for housing their season employees, tiny homes.

Last season we reported on six tiny homes Aspen had experimented with. This year, Skico is rolling out 34 more tiny homes bring the total to 40 tiny houses for their employees. The  351 square foot houses are designed to house three employees and will rent for $450.00 per person.

Each home comes quipped with refrigerators, dishwashers, a full bathroom, microwave and stove to be used as affordable employee housing.
