Canada’s first pod hotel is coming to the Whistler village. Called the Pangea Pod Hotel, the new space looks to give visitors an affordable and central location that focuses on the common spaces more than the private rooms.

A new hotel is set to open in Whistler in April 2018.

“Imagine you could stay in a boutique hotel but only pay for the part of it you actually use. At Pangea, that’s what we’ve created – designer pod accommodation that’s affordable, central, and social. It’s a hub where guests can meet likeminded travellers, enjoy an espresso or craft beer in our Living Room, but still have their own personal space at the end of the day. Best of all, we put it right in the heart of Whistler’s iconic village, just a couple minutes stroll from Whistler Blackcomb’s gondolas.” – pangeapod.com

The hotel will feature a total of 88 private sleeping pods. Each pod will include high-end features such as wood lining, memory-foam mattress and quality linens.

Pods will also be equipped with individually controlled LED lights, cabinets, hangers, storage areas, multiple charging points (including USB ports) and an integrated fan for ventilation and white noise.
