Obviously there is a love hate relationship with Coloradans and I-70 as it is both a vitally important main artery of transit and the source of ground-shaking frustration and fury when it gets backed up. Well, CDOT has a plan to relieve at a least a bit of the congestion over Vail Pass and make it safer to travel with the construction of a third lane for slow moving truckers. The third lane will installed in both direction between Vail and Copper Mountain.

How do you think the addition of a third lane on this stretch of highway will effect safety and travel times? Do you think this is the best use of money for CDOT or could you suggest better alternatives?
