In what they’ve termed a “bonus weekend,” A-Basin will reopen Black Mountain Express and Lewanee lifts for the weekend following the originally scheduled closing day. From June 9-11, mountain operational hours will be limited to 830am-230pm. They will be closed the week prior.

As of today, The USDA is reporting that Colorado’s statewide snowpack is at approximately 141% of normal for this time of year.

Beyond being good news for skiers, the front range snowfall has been a blessing for Colorado which saw little to snow snow in March and was looking at a severe drought starting early in the summer. That is no longer the case.

COO, Alan Henceroth said that if conditions remain good, “we may be able to extend even beyond the 11th.”
