Turns out ski bums don’t need a lot of room to kick up their feet. In fact, 250 square feet per person will do just fine.

The Aspen Times is reporting that Aspen Skiing Company is planning on expanding its “tiny home” employee housing by adding another 34 prefabricated homes to a RV campground near Basalt, CO.

Last year, the ski area operator added six 500 sq foot trailer homes that housed two employees each. The new tiny homes crafted by Sprout Tiny Homes will be able to hold 3 ski bums and will have 1.5 bath instead of just the 1. All in all, this new housing solution opens up beds for 102 seasonal employees.

In the meantime, long term residents of the RV Park will be forced to leave by the end of the August. Aspen Skiing Company will provide financial incentives for residents who relocate prior to the September 1st deadline.
