According to the Burlington Free Press, The US Ski and Snowboard Association has reached an agreement with Burke Mountain to foster what is being considered the first, official development site for ski racing professionals in the USA.

“The project will bring U.S. Ski Team members, as well as hundreds of young elite skiers, ski teams, their fans and families to the Burke area.” – Michael Sher, Friends of Burke Mountain

The agreement is great news for Burke Mountain, which has been the subject of scrutiny after an EB-5 scandal rocked the northeast Kingdom of Vermont. In a recent Facebook post, the Friends of Burke Mountain hailed the agreement and are looking forward to taking center stage amongst ski racers in the USA.
