Left scapula fracture, left acromian fracture, left neck abrasion, left clavicle fracture, 3 left side rib fractures, left hemopneumothorax, grade 1, liver laceration, head trauma, multiple scalp lacerations…this is the list of injuries 30 year old active duty military member Eric Dossantos suffered after connecting at 90mph while on a wingsuit flight through Chamonix. The accident was due to a loss of speed and altitude and the video is terrifying.
HERE IS AN INTERVIEW WITH ERIC DETAILING THE JUMP
He actually snapped the top 20 feet off the tree he impacted. Here are pics of the tree from an article topgunbase.ws which I highly suggest you read.
There is a GoFundMe.com page set up to supplement his insurance and help him afford Hyperbaric chamber treatment (which isn’t covered). Here is the pitch:
Eric flew through a tree going over 90mph, he should have died, but and for the lack of a better word, it’s a MIRACLE he’s still with us. His injuries were “only” left scapula fracture, left acromian fracture, left neck abrasion, left clavicle fracture, 3 left side rib fractures, left hemopneumothorax, grade 1, liver laceration, head trauma, multiple scalp lacerations.
One of the best ways to treat head traumas is with a Hyperbaric chamber (HBOT). And the sooner the better. Unfortnualty that’s rarely ever covered by insurance and it’s expensive. Not treating a head trauma can lead to issues later in life.
