According to Business Vancouver, the new resort would be located near Jasper National Park and become North America’s first year-round ski resort. But 4-season skiing isn’t the only highlight of the development plans. Oberti’s resort would also include a 6,726′ vertical drop, the longest inbounds run in the world, and some of the most stunning alpine scenery in North America.

The glacier is located at a towering 9,850 feet above sea level!

Compared to his last endeavour, Jumbo Glacier Resort, Oberti’s newest project is moving forward with a full build-out projected lasting roughly a decade. That said, developers hope the first phase to be complete by December of 2017. In an interview with Business Vancouver, Oberti credited the success thus far to native tribes, telling one reporter, “This project would not be possible without the initiative and steadfast support of the people of Valemount and the Simpew [First Nation].”
