bike trail tacksTwo Colorado area sleaze balls who placed tacks on a popular bike trail have been identified thanks to some nice investigation work by local police outside Denver.

8 cyclists had their tires popped early in July on Deer Creek Canyon Road near South Valley Parkway from the tacks as reported by thedenverchannel.com.  Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office busted the lowlifes thanks to some to slick investigative work:

“Chambers purchased the thumbtacks at a local King Soopers and was subsequently identified through the purchase transaction and store video surveillance.”

Calvin Chambers, 27, has been issued a summons and the second suspect will be issued a summons next week.  They will be charged with misdemeanor criminal mischief and reckless endangerment.
