What an interesting animal to come across on a snow swept wintery road. You might see black bear or get spooked out by a ground nesting grouse in the alpine areas of North America but massive flightless birds are stricktly down under. Not sure how common this is but it is the first time I’ve seen it. Australia is just packed full of surprises.
