
Earlier this year, rumors began to swirl concerning Vail Resorts purchasing Eldora Mountain Resort outside Nederland, Colorado. However, an alternative buyer has emerged and it’s none other than one of Vail’s chief competitors. According to Denver7, Powdr Corp has purchased the front range ski area for an undisclosed amount.

Former owner, William Killebrew is happy that the front range ski area ended up in the hands of Powdr and its CEO John Cumming. In an interview with Denver7, Killebrew spoke about his respect for Cumming saying, “He has built a great adventure company and has the reputation as an outstanding operator. When we decided to consider selling Eldora, we wanted to put our resort in the best hands possible and Powdr was the first company that came to mind.”
