While the news often portrays the tourists visiting our national parks as an apparent idiocracy, it’s very refreshing to see a new generation respecting the environment.

That was the case this past week as a youngster was overcome with guilt after taking a Giant Sequoia Cone from Sequoia National Park. After coming to terms with their minor infraction, the child wrote an apology note and returned the cone to park officials.
