It’s one thing to roll up on an established cliff jumping spot and do something spectacular but its entirely another to pioneer a location, especially a tricky one where currents are involved:

“This is the first cliff jumping session Toketee Falls has ever seen as far as I know. It is recommended that experience class C canyoneers tackle this canyon. We took a route that avoided all the turbulent hydraulics. A plan b would be to swim in the high velocity water, but it is extremely important to plan trajectories ahead and avoid being swept by the strong flow.
The first canyoneering descent was conducted on October 3, 2015 by Evan Topinka, Luca Chiarabini, Tiffanie Lin, Dan Kinler and Adam DiPietro. The final falls had been descended by whitewater kayakers multiple times in years before, but that was the first time the Toketee Falls gorge had been descended by canyoneers.”
