Mountain Drones is a Telluride, Colorado startup that specializes in high-performance drones that perform avalanche mitigation work. Seems like a bang up idea but with high profile drone failures in the ski industry like when Marcel Hirscher was nearly killed by one at Madonna di Campiglio, I think the general public might be hesitant to put explosive ordnance in the sky with a technology that has proven to fail, especially in cold conditions. Its a fantastic idea but I think the drones in general need to improve their failsafes before we can trust them with bombs.
