23-year-old ski instructor from Sugar Bowl, Carson May, has been missing since Thursday when he didn’t show up for his ride home from work.

Friends reported Carson missing at 10am on Friday.

Rescue crews resumed their search for a missing ski instructor this morning.

A sighting of tracks leading into a recent snow-slide area near Sugar Bowl ski resort led searchers back to the spot at dawn Sunday in the hunt for missing ski instructor Carson May.

Lt. Troy Sander of the Placer County Sheriff’s Office said about 40 searchers set out around 7 a.m. Sunday, homing in on an area of a “large slide.” Sander said another skier had reported seeing tracks leading into that avalanche area, which is in an out-of-bounds section near the resort. – sacbee.com
