Interesting propagation on this slide outside of Cooke City, MT. The explanation that 8ft+ crown might have been triggered by a smaller break off to the side and then propagated, releasing that massive slab should be a lesson to us all. The second slide featured should remind us not to be lulled into a sense of security if you see tracks across a slope, as that does not mean it is necessarily stable.
