Farmers Almanac has released their Canadian winter weather prediction for 2015- 2016. As you can see on the map above, their forecast calls for a cold and snowy winter in the east and a more mild and dry winter in the west.
If this forecast is proven to be accurate it could mean a subpar season for Whistler. “Farther west, over British Columbia, milder than normal temperatures are again expected.”
On the flip side, the forecast is favorable for the eastern resorts. “Precipitation-wise, if you like snow, then you should head out to Quebec, Ontario, and the Maritimes where snowier-than-normal conditions are forecast.”
