Ski Bowl at Mt. Hood offers the most expansive night skiing in the entire United States. With 960 acres of lighted terrain, Ski Bowl offers everything from moonlit powderfields to rocky mini golf lines right off the groomer. Not only that, but Ski Bowl is open till 10pm every day of the week. Also, Nimbus released this gem back in the their early days and it’s still one of the best edits out there.

2. Steamboat Springs, CO

The Christie Peak Express rises up 1,100 vertical feet, leaving skiers with four trails to choose from, all of which are well-lit. Also, with a boarding pass into the state of Colorado, skiers get a free night skiing pass on the house, leaving a little extra cash in the pocket for a post-ski hot chocolate to warm up with (never too old).

3. Brighton, UT

Brighton offers the best chance for nighttime powder turns out of any resort on this list. The Utah ski resort offers three chairlifts, one of which is the popular Crest Express that accesses mid mountain goods not offered by many night skiing operations in the States.

4. Snow King Ski Area, WY

Snow King is the Jackson, WY town hill and with $9 million being invested in improvments ranging from lifts to lights for night skiing, the small but steep Wyoming hill is about to make big moves. With Teton Village getting more and more attention amongst ski industry professionals and destination skiers alike, look for Snow King to take on a bigger role in Teton Valley with its soon to be revamped night skiing operation.

5. Crotched Mountain, NH

Brighton

Rumor has it that Crotched is the only resort in the Northeast with some nighttime tree skiing available (Final Frontier Glades). That said, the New Hampshire ski resort is the only resort that stays open past midnight (actually they stay open till 3 A.M!). So grab a Midnight Madness Pass and shred on. Not to mention you gotta believe this guy.

Hours: 5PM-3AM (Fridays and Saturdays only)
