This is the fourth year of drought for California and things could not get much worse. As of today, the California snowpack is at just 8% of its average for this time of the year. Many resorts are already closed and the few that remain open are holding on by the skin of their teeth. Normally this would be the high of the season for the Sierras. Instead, people are hanging up their skis and picking up the golf clubs.
