Local Blake giving thanks on Gracias Ridge today

REVELSTOKE CONDITIONS TODAY:

– 8cms (3”) of very dry snow overnight reported (reality was a helluva lot deeper)

– Deep, dry snow in North Bowl and Gracias Ridge

– Much colder temperatures; -13C (8.6F) at 2:51pm

– Very low visibility up high due to a dense fog that stuck on the mountain like stink on poo

– Light wind today, but it was a frigid wind

– Pillows were poppin’ all over the mountain today

WHERE THE SKIING WAS BEST TODAY:

– North Bowl and Gracias Ridge were deep, dry, and pillowy

– “Secret Pillow Zone” off the Ripper Chair was untouched and soft

– Just out of bounds skier’s left off the Stoke chair was virgin powder-mogul-paradise

Devon dominating the pillow fight

CROWD FACTOR:

– Back to no one being around today

– No lines, no crowds, no humans, lonesome… except for the amazing Revelstoke locals

The visibility on the upper mountain today was lowish

OVERALL:

– Today was a great powder day with cold temps and deep, dry snow

– North Bowl’s secret pockets were producing thigh deep zones that had us in hysterics

The trees tell the story…
