Elias Hofer, a 25-year-old Italian ski Instructor, fell to his death Thursday afternoon at Mt. Ruapehu. It is believed that Elias lost his footing on rocks above a steep area of the mountain known as the Pinnacles.
Poor weather hampered the search effort but the body of the young Italian was found Sunday afternoon.
